BRCGS GLUTEN FREE ISSUE 4 AUDITOR TRAINING

BRCGS Global Standard Gluten-Free Issue 4 was published on 05 February 2024 and is available for download from the BRCGS Store or Participate. Issue 4 audits commenced in August 2024.

Critical changes in Issue 4 include the addition of non-conformity grading, a new section on labeling and pack control, and an extension of scope to include outsourced processing.

Course Summary

This training course has been designed for auditors to help them understand the Global Standard Gluten-Free Issue 4 requirements and provide guidance on auditing a Gluten-Free Management System, including the optional AOECS module.

At the end of the course, participants will be assessed with an exam.

 
Key objectives

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

• Explain what is required to comply with the requirements of the Gluten-free Standard
• Understand the expectations of the auditors and the evidence to be provided to support compliance
• Identify different gluten controls that must be implemented as part of a gluten-free management system
• Determine suitable gluten-free monitoring, deviation, validation, and verification procedures
• Describe what to expect from the Gluten-free audit
• Recall resource tools available for compliance and support from BRCGS

This course is part of the BRCGS Professional Recognition program.

Who should attend

• Existing Gluten-Free Issue 3 auditors
• Auditors employed by a BRCGS-approved certification body who wish to conduct audits against the Standard.
• Auditors with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in auditing food safety/quality systems.

This may include internal, 2nd party, and 3rd party auditing.

Pre-requisite criteria includes a valid lead auditor training certificate for any FSMS standard.

 
Note: BRCGS Gluten Free Issue 4 version audits are approaching, and in this context, auditors are expected to have completed the new version training and successfully passed the exam.
